Our Commitment to the Wildlife and Nature Conservation – LOÐVINIR Iceland

At LOÐVINIR. Your Icelandic Friend, one of our core values is environmental and animal care. While we are a small handmade business, our dream goes far beyond plushies — we hope that every puffin we sell can also carry a little bit of hope, purpose, and impact.

We believe in supporting local environmental efforts in Iceland. That’s why a portion of our yearly profits is donated to an Icelandic environmental association that aligns with our values.

Each year, we will select a different local organization and make a symbolic donation to support their work.

We’re not a charity — we’re a creative project trying to grow. Our long-term vision is to someday create the LOÐVINIR CENTER: a physical space that brings together nature, art, emotions, and people. But to get there, we need to walk step by step.

So no — we won’t pretend your purchase saves the world.
But we do believe every tiny grain matters. Every kind action, every conscious choice, every story shared.

We are committed to publishing proof of our yearly donations both on our website and through Instagram stories. Even if the amounts are small in the beginning, every contribution counts — and we want you to know where that money goes.

Here are a few organizations doing meaningful work for Iceland’s natural heritage:

We are not directly affiliated with any of these associations, nor do we receive compensation or collaborate officially with them. These are simply Icelandic environmental initiatives we admire, and we hope that by sharing them, others may discover and support them too.
